The short version: we use cookies to make the store work and to see general traffic patterns. We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels, and we do not use cookies to follow you around other websites.

First-party cookies are set by bakodeals.com. Third-party cookies are set by the platforms that run our store and host our site. Ours are limited to those platforms.

Two platforms set cookies on our site.
Shopify powers our cart, checkout, payments, and customer accounts, and provides the built-in store analytics we rely on for traffic reporting.
Lovable hosts and serves our website front end and provides basic built-in visit measurement.
That is the whole list. We do not install Google Analytics, the Meta pixel, or any other advertising or retargeting tag on bakodeals.com.
4. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These keep the store working. They remember what is in your cart, maintain your checkout session securely, keep you signed in to your account, and record your privacy choices. They cannot be switched off, because the cart and checkout will not function without them.
Performance and analytics
These give us aggregate traffic reporting: how many people visited, which deals were viewed, which page you arrived on, and whether you came from one of our station websites. We use this to decide which deals to run and to find pages that are not working. It is aggregate reporting, not individual profiling, and it is not used for advertising.
Functional
These remember small preferences, such as your region setting and whether you have already dismissed or subscribed to our deal alerts prompt, so you are not asked repeatedly.
Most of these cookies last from a single session up to about a year, depending on their purpose. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. Shopify and Lovable set the exact names and durations, and publish current detail in their own cookie documentation.
5. What we do not do

- We do not sell your personal information for money
- We do not share your personal information with advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising
- We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal information, such as health, financial, or precise location data

6. Your choices
Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information tied to that browser.
Browser controls
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies, usually under Privacy or Security:

7. Third-party platforms
Shopify and Lovable set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control what they collect through those cookies. Review their policies directly if you want the full detail.
When you click through to a merchant website or one of our station websites, that site sets its own cookies under its own policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or the law change. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice on the site.
